Sale Harriers hosted two very popular races in Wythenshawe Park on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May.
First up was the Young Athletes 3km, which saw some great results from our Stockport Harriers’ juniors. Olivia Wild was first in the L15 category in 10:59.
In the five mile race, Alan Pover crossed the line in 29:56 to take first prize in the V60 category and to John Parrott was first in the V50 category with a time of 31:17. The ladies were also on great form with Sarah Aylmer winning the L45 category in 34:47 - a pleasant surprise for Sarah, who was still tired from a duathlon at the weekend and was a couple of minutes outside her best. Sarah and Stockport team mates Kerrie Wood and Julie Fairclough also won the Ladies Vets team prize.
