September 19 and 20 was a great weekend of racing for Stockport Harriers with some excellent results.
The weekend kicked off with the five-mile Lantern Pike fell race in Hayfield where there were some very strong performances.
There were some fantastic results for Stockport Harriers at the Anglesey Marathon on Sunday. Well done to Sally Keigher who won the women’s race in 3:23:23 and to Dan Oliver who was the second man to cross the line in 2:59:21. Liz Turton smashed yet another club record and won the F55 category in 4:06:56.
Many also made the trip to Newcastle for the Great North Run where Jayne Lawton achieved a PB of 01:37:16.
At the Boggart Chase 10K all seven Stockport Harriers taking part came away with an individual prize as well as winning both the men’s vet team prize and the ladies’ team prize.
Sunday also saw the first Tatton Triathlon where new triathlete Sarah Aylmer won the F45-49 category and club coach Maureen Wilkins came second in the same category. Well done, ladies!
