London Mararthon

Report: Jane O'Hara -

Stockport Harriers had some fantastic results at this year's London Marathon. Congratulations to Jamie Loxam, the first Stockport man home, who finished in 2.36 and to our first woman Jenny Knass, who ran 2.54. Both found the last six miles difficult and both finished a few minutes outside their personal bests

Kerrie Wood-Doyle finished in a very impressive 3.07 - surely the fastest time ever recorded on a sub-30 miles per week training schedule. And a very special mention to Jayne Lawton, who knocked an incredible 46 minutes off her best to finish in 3.14, making her eligible to compete in the Championship Race at next year's marathon.

Well done to all our Stockport Harriers who completed the London Marathon this year.
