3 races with 78 athletes, 36 sub-14 minutes and one club record.
They were the amazing statistics from the Jordan Payton invitational track meet at Stanford University, California in the USA where Ross Millington broke the long standing club record for the 5,000 metres set by Bashir Hussain in 1990 of 14.07.
Ross in his first ever 5,000m race took 5 seconds from the record to come home in 14.02.86 finishing fifth in a close race with only 1 second separating the fight for third in which Ross kicked for home with a last 200 metres in 29 seconds.
Next up for Ross will be the qualifying rounds for a place at the NCAA finals where Ross will be hoping to run his favoured distance 1,500 metres.
