Stockport’s senior ladies team took part in the last race of the series at Clayton Vale on 12th February. The day turned out to be and clear sunny; the team pictured above had great runs and finished in fine form, supported by Brae the dog – I think he was after joining in really.
Over the series the senior ladies finished joint first with Wilmslow, but were awarded the silver medal on race positions – similar to goal difference. The Vet team finished in second place overall, getting piped at the post by Wilmslow. Well done to all our team and bring on next season.
Some of the team also travelled to Alton Towers on 19th February to take part in the National championships. It was an extremely muddy course and the ladies – Jenny Knass, Carmen Anthony, Jane Lawton, Maureen Wilkins, Gillian Doolan, Alexis Dinsmor and Sophie Seingier all did very well to stay on their feet and finish the course
