Fine weather greeted the few hardy souls who took part in the 29th annual athletics tour and participated in the annual Weilerswist 5kms and 10 kms trail races through beautiful forest trails between Bonn and Cologne. For those who were slow enough, it was the ideal time to "bone up" on the various species of toadstools and fungii found throughout the woodlands.
Our hosts made us most welcome and are encouraged to ask about our own events here in sunny Stockport, maybe a return visit could be planned or better still, join in the 30th edition next year on the 24th October 2014.
