Shopping in John Lewis Cheadle? You can support Stockport Wheelchair Racers!

Report: Jane O'Hara -

Our wheelchair racing squad has been selected by John Lewis in Cheadle as one of three nominated charities to share in a £3000 donation from the store as part of its Community Matters scheme - and you can help decide how much we get.

If you’re shopping at John Lewis in Cheadle between now and the end of April, you’ll be given a token at checkout. You can then use this to vote for Stockport Wheelchair Racers in a special voting box in the catering area of the store. You can vote every time you shop. Our share of the £3000 depends on the amount of votes we receive – so for example, if we get 31% of the votes, we’ll receive a £910 donation. Charities obtain support in whichever way will benefit them the most, either in the form of John Lewis products, volunteering time from John Lewis partners, or as financial support.

So if you happen to be in John Lewis between now and the end of April, please vote – it could help us raise some much-needed funds.
