Stockport Harriers’ senior ladies finished second team behind Leeds City at this year’s Northern Athletics Road Relays at Sefton Park, Liverpool on Saturday.
The team was boosted by the reigning Northern Under-20 Women's Champions, Mollie Williams, Ellen Downs and Lizzie Apsley.
GB Cross country international Elle Vernon led the team out finishing 1st and fastest long leg of the day in the first of the long legs, Lyndsay Clarke stayed in first spot on the first short leg in 14.01, Ellen Downs in 14.20 on leg 3 with Sally Ratcliffe on the second long leg in 28.33 .
