Jenny Murray (left) in the closing stages of the Flora London Marathon
Top performer for the club in Sunday's Flora London Marathon was Jenny Murray knocking a huge 8 minutes off her personal best with a time of 2 hours, 49 minutes and 1 second.
Despite the injuries suffered two weeks ago in the relays and her pre-race plan to "take it steady", she ran a storming race to finish 29th overall and 19th British finisher.
Next home was Jenny Knass, also overcoming recent injury, recording a time of 3.29.24 for her first attempt at the distance.
The ladies team overall had a good day with 9 out of the 15 entered recording personal best times despite a number of non-starters due to illness and one non-finisher.
First home for the men was Kevin Beattie in 2.43.07, closely followed by Jonathan Dabbs in 2.48.05 and Steve Almond in 2.48.55. John Delany, Terry Robson and Clive Luty ran well in the over-60's category, all finishing under 4 hours.
