What a fantastic results from our Senior and Vet ladies who all worked so hard to put the ladies at the top of the Greater Manchester League and winning the title by just 1 point piping Wilmslow Harriers at the post.
Sarah Aylmer, Estelle McGuire, Helen Garner, Marie Kay, Jane Lawton, Julie Fairclough, Karen Crackle and Janet Booker were all working together to keep the team up there and battling it out all the way, with Wilmslow fighting back we knew we had to make every second count, although the course was flat it was quite undulated in places with a few of us falling in the mud!! not mentioning any names Sarah!
What great support we had from a great fan club the Akin mob cheering us on all the way and not to mention our photograph on the day Mike Aylmer who took some great pictures of the opposition!
Fabulous results from our two vet ladies taking 1st prizes in their age category Alexis Dinsmore and Sarah Aylmer who shown her true potential on the day.
