Andy Nixon was first man home in 5th place in his England debut at the Home Countries International at Rouken Glen in Scotland.
The race was won by cross international Derek Hawkins in 27-28 but Andy had a fierce battle with the following pack who all came home within seconds of each other including Andy who ran confidently with the lead pack for most of the race, the next four places only decided in the last 200 metre kick for the line.

Jack Morris also made his debut for the North of England under-20 men's team at the same event in the home coumties race finishing well up the field in 14th position.
