Stockport athletes produced some notable performances at Tuesday night's British Milers Gold Standard meeting at Trafford AC's Longford Park.
European Under-23 5,000 metre silver medallist Ross Millington won the men's BMC 1,500 metre A-race in 3-44 and Patrick Martin set a personal best of 3-49.
Jack Nixon came close to breaking the 4 minute barrier stopping the clock in a new best of 4-00.57 in the BMC 1,500 metre B-race, his cousin Andrew Nixon home in 4-04.
In the open races English Schools' 800 metres bronze medallist Chelsea Jarvis smashed her personal best 1,500 metre time taking a healthy chunk of six seconds off her time with 4-29 taking her to third on the Under-17 Women's 1,500 metres UKA rankings.
In the same race under-15 girl Lucy Donaghy took 4 seconds off her best to come home in 4-46.
Kevin Acton strode home and took 6 seconds from his 1,500 metres time with 4-10.
Under-15 girls Katy Whiteoak ran under the 5 minute barrier to record 4-59 and Lilly McGuiness equalled her season's best with 5-08, also senior Elle Baker set a season's best of 4-21 and under-17 Olivia Wild a season's best of 2-19 in the 800 metres.
In the open 3,000 metres A-race Mike Sawrey set a new best in 8-47, closely followed by Jamie Loxam in a new best of 8-49, Jack Morris in 8-55 and also Dean Matkin 9-28.
