David Tivey who sadly died aged 48 with bowel cancer in January this year is being remembered by family and friends at the David Tivey Memorial Mile & Sprint races at Woodbank Park Track on Saturday 7th July 2012.
George Tivey, David’s father and life member of Stockport Harriers will be the event announcer.
Olympic Torchbearer Brian Leigh has been approached by Stockport Greenspace Forum to stage a short athletic meeting as part of the Pass the Baton event at parks in Stockport.

Brian has nominated St Anns Hospice to benefit from this event. He has also kindly arranged for this Olympic Torch to be at this track meeting and welcomes £1 donations to St Anns Hospice for those wising to take photographs with the Olympic Torch.
