North West Road Relays

The first of the Autumn Road Relays took place on a very hot and sunny day in the Cheshire countryside at Marbury Park near Northwich and it turned out to be a great day for the Harriers with a host of medals for the team places in the North West Relays.

The first race of the day saw the under-13 girls' take silver and bronze medals for the Greater Manchester teams with great running over the 2.7km course from Rebecca Jones, Natasha Harrison and Emma Flynn in the A-team and Naomi Sinclair, Francesca Carosi and Abbie Wood-Doyle in the B-team.

In the under-15 girls' race the teams took gold and silver medals with a fine display from Lily McGuinness, Lucy Donaghy and Katy Whiteoak in the A-team and in the B-team Juliet Downs, Chloe Lockett and Emma Donaghy chased the A-team all the way.

The under-17 girls' race saw the Harriers' teams take 1st and 3rd team places with Megan Ashelby, Chelsea Jarvis and Mollie Williams followed home by Elizabeth Apsley, Rosa Chrystie-Lowe and Olivia Wild making it a great showing for the Harriers.

Not to be outdone the Senior Ladies' team of Helen Walch, Imogen Nutter and Nicola Berry took the the silver medal over there 5.4km course in the Greater Manchester team awards.
