On a very cold and windy day at Stretford’s Longford Park the Greater Manchester Track and Field Championships where held with a good number of Stockport Harriers turning out to compete in the championships.

The under-11 girls again showed that they are the in good form taking the two top honors in the 600m with Lucy Donaghy coming in 1st place in a great time of 1-51.3 and Eliza Brackenridge Jones just behind to take 2nd in 1-57 39, also Rebbecca Paolo finished 7th in 2-22.69.

Then in the Long Jump Lucy again lead the way with a jump of 3.40m to take 1st and Eliza taking 3rd with 2.97m and Rebbecca in 12th with 1.89m.

In the under-13s Mollie Williams showed the great form she is in taking 2nd place in the 1200m in a time of 4-10.24 and Leah O’Connell taking 8th in 4-39.12 while in the 800m Sophie Williams took 6th in 2m 57.9.

Daniel Lawton had a great run in the boys’ 1,500m to take 2nd place in a time of 4-58.

In the under-15 girls Olivia Wild again showed the great form she in the 800m to take the title with a time of 2-24.5 and then followed that up with taking the Greater Manchester Schools 800m title in a PB of 2-20.8 the following week.
